Hi Friends,
SPARC (formerly the CommUNITY Activities Program) will be voted on by City Council at the upcoming October 15th City Council meeting and we need your help to get SPARC approved! Please take 2 minutes RIGHT NOW to write a brief email of support to City Council and the City Clerk (1-2 sentences). To make this super duper easy for you, we created a template that you can personalize below and provided all the City Council/Clerk emails to copy and paste right into your email! (Due by October 8th.)

Dear City Councilors, Mayor Champlin, and Concord City Clerk,
Please approve the Parks & Recreation report requesting SPARC program funding. This free program is vital for supporting Concord’s youth during winter and fostering community connections. Let’s ensure kids feel safe, warm, and included. Thanks for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Your Name
Also, please feel free to join us at the October 15th City Council meeting to support SPARC!
Fingers crossed and thanks so much for your time and energy!
MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL THIS SUNDAY!
This Sunday, Sept 22nd is the Multicultural Festival and we encourage everyone to get out there and enjoy! Importantly, it's not too late to sign up to volunteer at the event! We know that Concord Greenspace is looking for several folks to join their team. They'll be helping to set up the festival from 7-11am. Here's their sign up genius. Also, it's never too late or too early to donate to this incredible annual event. Donate here.
Hope to see you there!

LOOKING@LOUDON ROAD with Concord Greenspace - Join Us to Make Loudon Road Safer! Children living in the Heights face many challenges accessing Keach Park and the City Wide Community Center, including navigating the notoriously dangerous Loudon Road. Concord Greenspace's Looking@Loudon Rd initiative is committed to improving the safety, livability, and economic vitality of this busy commuting corridor.
Over the past several months, Concord Greenspace held three community listening sessions, smaller group discussions, and collected public input through their website. Now, they need your help to turn this feedback into action!
On Wednesday, September 25th, from 6:15-7:45 pm, Concord Greenspace is hosting a PUBLIC WORKSHOP to transform community insights into a practical plan. All are welcome—come and join SPARC friends and neighbors as we work together for change!
